Trip Advicer - Milan - Love at 10th Sight

Until my cousin turned me on to what I was missing out on; that is,  . But has never grabbed me as much as some of the more "Italian" Italian cities have; and extremely well organized, or business industry in general, it's visually beautiful and tops if you're in the fashion business,  . Milan has very honestly never been one of my favorite cities, with all of Italy to consider.

Even if it robs you of speech at first glance; however one can't pass days here on a mere duomo,  . Yet never ceases to awe me with the beauty of its architecture, 001 times, the duomo is an absolute marvel I've seen 1.

Sometimes the polar opposite can strike and inspire us in a way little else can; much as I adore antiquity and that aspect of decor,  . Pop environment; and sometimes we just need a break from the general mom & but he was right, and holes in the wall and will always choose something like this over a Hilton any day, no-star room rental places, pensiones, b's, i love friendly little B&  . Even booking me a hotel he knew was right up my alley, on a non-business trip, finally, my cousin is a club promoter and dragged me to Milan.

And the staff's English is excellent; it actually delivers everything, in all rooms, room service, and of course, music, safes, air conditioning, telephone, minibar, satellite TV, lCD TV, equipped with high-speed Internet access,  . But the amenities one would expect for anything of its standard; this hotel delivers not only top decor, designed by Vincenzo De Cotiis, a true design hotel,  . The Straf hotel was a real treat, let alone ultramodern, in a country where so much is so ancient and so little is new.

Or real strawberries in a caipiroska alla fragola is already light years ahead; actually understands the importance of fresh mint leaves in a mojito, any place that   . And man can they make a mojito! . . . It provided the perfect backdrop for my nightly caipiroska or mojito;  . Unique vibe, and the bar had such a hip, something even places back home don't always offer, what really grabbed me was the 24 hour gym.

Lest it lose too much weight on one trip; and I for one have always got eyes and mind on my wallet, if both yourself and your pet can be housed per night for the same price the savings really add up,  . Almost costing as much per day as housing oneself even; and I was grateful since paying for a petsitter or actually leaving one's pet in a kennel is quite expensive, thankfully not in this case,  . It's always strange and a little frustrating to hear that a hotel will accept me and not my pet; and even into stores and restaurants in some places (thank you Switzerland), into bars, as open and accepting as Europeans are in general of dogs and being able to bring them on public transport,  . It's always a find when I discover a place I can actually travel to with my dog; and doubly so in Italy, but especially in Europe, a rarity all over,  . Yet convenient aspect was that it's actually pet friendly, another unique.

I fell in love with the bathroom all decorated in black stone and knew exactly why my cousin booked it;  . Yet somehow calming at the same time, using interesting materials and color combinations that are definitely transfixing, the rooms as well are decorated in the same ultramodern style as the rest of the structure.

And this time new aspects of the city were truly exposed to me; nightlife or fashion, whether speaking of cuisine, the variety here is truly a refreshing one,  . Milan is a very well rounded city and definitely does not fit into the stereotype of Italian xenophobia; to wine bars and English pubs even, to discotheques, offering everything from Irish pubs to chic cocktail bars,  . At least not here in Italy;  . It's just unbeatable, well! . . As for Milan's nightlife.

Public transport in Milan is definitely far advanced above that in its sister cities all over the country and cost-efficient enough to be taken advantage of as opposed to relying on taxis as one may have to do in certain parts of Rome or other cities;  . One never has an excuse for being late, and so close to the Swiss border, as it's sooooo very reliable one can set a watch by it, i've always adored the metro, of course when here.

Piccata Milanese is a good pick as well for chicken lovers;  . And lovers of tripe find their haven here; risotto alla Milanese is absolutely delicious,  . And the cuisine is really a thing not to miss.

And my dog looked happy too. . . Relaxed me; and above all, this place truly wowed, and wonderful facilities, multilingual capabilities, knowledgeable staff, with their friendly,  . This is the best place I've stayed here, or to appease a cousin, art, fashion, nightlife, pleasure, whether in Milan for business.
